Classic Brownies with a Twist


LPM Brownies (AKA Leftover plant matter)

-cannabis buds after having been infused into oil can be a great way to completely use up your cannabis, make tasty treats, and have a little medication, fibre, and fun. I always use my LPM in creating recipes. These turned out to be absolutely delicious and they didn’t have a “weedy” taste at all.

2/3 C butter

5 squares unsweetened chocolate

1 3/4 organic cane sugar (I always use a little less sugar. It depends on your sweet tooth!)

2 t vanilla

3 eggs

1 C flour

7 grams leftover cannabis plant matter after infusing

1 C broken walnuts (optional)

Heat oven to 350F. If using nuts I like to roast them for 5 minutes in brownie pan first. Then remove to a cool dish. Heat butter, chocolate and leftover plant matter in a double boiler on low until melted. Cool. Beat sugar, vanilla, eggs on high speed in mixer for 5 minutes. Beat in chocolate on low speed. Beat in flour on low speed until blended. Pour brownie batter into greased square 8 x8 or 9 x 9 pan. Bake for about 30 minutes and then sprinkle nuts and/or push partially roasted nuts into top of brownie batter. Finish baking brownies for 10 minutes. The brownies should look a bit crusty on edges and pull away from the pan slightly while the middle will be slightly mushy. As the brownies cool on a rack, the middle will cook a little more and you will have a nice gooey texture to them. I calculated these brownies cut into 24 small pieces to have about 8 mg cannabis per piece. The calculation will depend on what cultivar of cannabis you use. Please be careful with edibles and eat a small piece and wait at least 1 1/2 hours before consuming more. My calculation page is coming soon!
